“Building Teams & Preventing Burnout: Strategies to Maximize Effectiveness of the Pediatric Rehabilitation Team” was presented by Rebecca A. Small, MSW, LCSW on Thursday, December 1st, 2016.
Rebecca is a Licensed Social Worker and Behavioral Health Counselor at the Good Shepherd Inpatient Pediatric Unit in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, where she counsels patients and their families to help them achieve the best possible rehabilitation outcomes. Rebecca also regularly works with unit staff to improve effectiveness, foster team cohesiveness, and aid in stress management.
Rebecca received her Bachelors Degree in Social Work from Alvernia University in Reading, Pennsylvania and later went on to receive her Masters of Social Work from Marywood University in Scranton, Pennsylvania. Rebecca has a wide variety of counseling and social work experience including adoption and foster care services, work with the Big Brothers & Big Sisters Organization, and use of equestrian-patient relationships to facilitate behavioral and mental health goals.
