About IPRC

A Vision for Better Pediatric Care

Nearly two decades ago, leaders from pediatric rehabilitation programs across the Mid-Atlantic region first met to determine how they could work together in order to improve the administration of their programs serving children with disabilities. Through these discussions, the group began to discover ways in which the needs of their own organizations could be addressed.  The value of networking, education, and resource sharing was quickly realized and the International Pediatric Rehabilitation Collaborative (IPRC) was created.

Word spread and organizations from across the continent and the globe have joined the Collaborative. We now have nearly 50 pediatric rehabilitation providers actively collaborating to provide the best care for their clients.  The IPRC is supported by the Rehabilitation and Community Providers Association (RCPA), an organization with provider collaboration at its core.

Working Together; Improving Together

The International Pediatric Rehabilitation Collaborative (IPRC)  has accomplished much through collaboration in regional, national, and international activities.  Many of our members participate at the committee level working on specific initiatives to improve the provision of pediatric rehabilitation care.

Education is a major component of the IPRC.  The group conducts educational webinars every other month to share pertinent information about current pediatric rehabilitation practices. The webinars are available free of charge for all members.

Networking: a great benefit of being a part of IPRC is access to a diverse network of pediatric rehabilitation providers. The IPRC holds regular networking call events and facilitates contact between members to promote sharing of best practices and problem solving.

Advocacy – making change on behalf of the group.  Every voice is important, and a multitude of voices is easily heard. The IPRC keeps abreast of member issues and needs.

Outcomes, benchmarking, and data collection has become a focus area for IPRC.  Through committee work, the IPRC is identifying and developing standardized processes to collect data and enable benchmarking.

We are Making Great Strides
