On 11/29/18, IPRC hosted Jim Kaufman, VP of Public Policy for Children’s Hospital Association, to share an update on current legislative happenings on Capitol Hill that impact children.
Jim Kaufman serves as vice president of public policy at the Children’s Hospital Association (CHA). Prior to joining CHA, Jim served as director of government affairs for Johns Hopkins Medicine and Johns Hopkins Institutions.
He has advocated at the federal, state and local levels in the United States, addressing a variety of issues ranging from Medicaid regulations to Medicare physician payment reform. Jim’s experience also includes the Maryland Higher Education Commission and the Maryland General Assembly. Jim earned his Bachelor’s degree from McDaniel College, a Master of Public Administration from the University of Baltimore and a PhD in Public Policy from the University of Maryland, Baltimore Graduate Schools. He is based in Washington, D.C.
