Safe Transport for Children with Special Health Needs was presented by Brian Perkowski, PT, ATP, CTRS on February 2nd, 2016.
Brian graduated from University of Scranton in Scranton, Pennsylvania in 2002 where he obtained his Master’s Degree in Physical Therapy. He began his career as a physical therapist working with children with complex physical needs in both school-based and outpatient settings.
In 2006, Brian received his Assistive Technology Professional Certification from RESNA (Rehabilitation Engineering and Assistive Technology Society of North America) while practicing at Children’s Specialized Hospital in Hamilton, New Jersey. He began evaluating children and adolescents for seating and mobility products and focused his career to specialize in rehabilitation technology.
Currently, Mr. Perkowski is a Rehabilitation Technology Supplier with National Seating and Mobility, one of the nation’s largest complex rehabilitation suppliers. He is a regional leader within his company and continues to specialize in pediatric seating and mobility with a special interest in Wheelchair Transportation Safety.
Brian has a passion for using technology to improve patient quality of life. He has a wealth of experience helping his clients access their communities while keeping safety at the forefront.
