If you ever find yourself at Seattle Children’s Hospital, you’ll see Laura’s fingerprints all over! Laura started her career as an Occupational Therapist and advanced to leadership within her organization where she now serves as Director of Rehabilitation Services, PACT (Palliative Care), Lactation, and Child Protection Programs – and in the midst of it all, she still finds time for IPRC! Laura has been highly involved in the Collaborative since 2011 and in 2015, she accepted the position of Chair of the IPRC Steering Committee. Her vast clinical and leadership experience has proven valuable to the team and she is always willing to share her ideas and be a sounding board for others.
For Laura, the best part of being involved is “that [IPRC] is all about making a difference with those who know pediatric rehab, to maximize the functional quality of life for kids. It’s not about how we are doing things today, but how are we going to do them tomorrow. I think the Collaborative is an embracing of the mantra ‘Together we are better!'”
When she’s not at work, Laura enjoys running, gardening, and spending time with her family and their 120 pound dog, Chief. Want to contact Laura? Contact IPRC and we’ll put you in touch with her.
