The IPRC believes that all children worldwide should have access to healthcare. As an advocate for children, including those with special health needs, the IPRC supports healthcare legislation that includes the following benefits:
- Comprehensive preventative care
- Broad rehabilitation and habilitation coverage
- No lifetime coverage limits/caps
- No pre-existing condition clauses
- Gynecological and reproductive health coverage
- Generous age limits for coverage under parental plans
- Prescription coverage, including for durable medical equipment
- Coverage for brain and mental health services
- Provisions for individuals who cannot afford care
