Dr. Gerard Banez presented the  following objectives:

1. Discussing  the background information about conversion disorder,including epidemiology, etiology/conceptual models, physiological and psychological features.
2.     Describing the clinical impact of conversion disorder, including whether or not it is serious or life-threatening. 3. Review what we know about long-term impact. 4.    Discuss treatment including medical management, psychological treatment, rehabilitation therapies, and alternative strategies.

Dr, Benez  focused  his remarks on:

1. What is wrong? 2. Is it dangerous? 3.  Will it go away? 4.  What can we do about it?
