Cincinnati Children’s Division of OT/PT is delighted to bring experts in Cerebral Visual Impairments (CVI) for this educational opportunity. This one-day, interactive course will educate therapists, early intervention providers, ophthalmologists, optometrists, educators, and orientation and mobility specialists about the importance of interdisciplinary care. It will provide an update on the latest evidence on identification, evaluation, and treatment for CVI.
Objectives:
By the end of the conference, attendees will be able to:
1. Understand the importance of early screening and identify evidence-based tools to screen young children for CVI
2. Describe the diagnostic process for children with CVI
3. Identify assessments used in current practice to evaluate children with CVI
4. Identify treatment strategies used for adapting the environment and/or task to enhance vision for children with CVI
5. Identify educational accommodations to promote school success for children with CVI
