- Does your department utilize a staffing ratio/formula/algorithm to determine how many patients can be seen per FTE?
- If you have a staffing model/staffing ratio, what is it based on? For example, do you assign FTE per specific hospital units, or do you staff based on number of orders received, or by medical/surgical specialty/patient population, etc.
- Do you use a “specific formula” to determine what FTE is needed to meet the inpatient therapy needs for patients admitted into your hospital? Could you please share the details of the “staffing formula” with this group?
- Do all 3 therapy disciplines use the same staffing model/formula/ratio?
