IPRC Committees: Explore your role today!

Each Committee, previously called Work Group has a Chairperson partnering with a Steering Committee Liaison.  The IPRC Committee and Chairpersons are:

Advocacy & Membership– Drew Nagele,  Beechwood Rehabilitation Services

Education -Carol Salmons,  Children’s Hospital of Atlanta

Best Practice & Clinical Innovation- Anne Ruecktenwald, HSC Pediatric Center

Outcomes & Research- Roni H. Amiel, Blythedale Children’s Hospital

Below is  a little  bit more about each committee….

Education

  • Select educational programs for webinars
  • Plan and  coordinate onsite conferences
  • Create links between IPRC and other relevant professional groups to optimize Pediatric Rehabilitation Care
  • Inform members about  IPRC developments
  • Educate future clinicians on pediatric rehabilitation and link with universities

Advocacy & Membership 

  • Recruit members
  • Coordinate nominations and elections for the Steering Committee
  • Interact with members to address their needs and facilitate networking between members
  • Drive advocacy and connections with the general public, as well as legislators and other governing entities to improve pediatric rehabilitation
  • Share benefits of pediatric rehabilitation with the general public, as well as legislators and other governing entities to improve pediatric rehabilitation

Best Practices & Clinical Innovation

  • Facilitate compilation and sharing of best practices
  • Identify and share strategies that support the transformation of care to include best practices and innovation
  • Support member efforts to incorporate innovation into care on a daily basis

Outcomes & Research Advancement

  • Facilitate the creation and use of outcome measures to further advance pediatric rehabilitation
  • Refine outcome tools in terms of reliability and validity in collaboration with appropriate parties
  • Discover and support opportunities for all research, including clinical, epidemiological, translational research and/or other  areas to drive publication and advancement of the field
