Original Question: Do you have an interactive floor system?
Response 1:
- We do have an interactive wall in our waiting room. We looked at several vendors and used Gesture FX. We have had it for a little over 4 years and we are very pleased with it. It is a great diversion in a very busy waiting room that we share with orthopedics.
- We would recommend it. The upkeep has been minimal.
- Our only recommendation is that it should be put on a wall that isn’t a shared wall with an office or work area, kids bang on the wall no matter what you do.
- We were the first in our hospital and it has now been utilized in the ED waiting area.
Response 2:
- We have the Eyeplay system http://www.motionfitness.com/EyePlay-Interactive-Game-Floor-p/eyeplay.htm
- It is a cool product, but I am not familiar with many out there to compare; I really like that we have it.
- It is located in a room dedicated to it – 10 ft x 12 ft. in our IP treatment area; can be accessed by IP and OP services (just a farther walk for OP). Because of where it is located, I believe it is underutilized.
- Drawbacks: It only projects to the floor; light bulb burns out and requires special order; requires a large dark space; not portable
- Positives: our system came with 18 games, can be used for several large age span, functional levels and disabilities.
Response 3:
We are evaluating the potential of the Wizefloor.com interactive floor (not mobile device) for future space (to be completed in 2019) so will have feedback available in 2020.
