The IPRC Best Practice and Innovation Committee held a discussion on Monday, February 9th as a follow up to Exploring Sexuality and Disability in Teenagers webinar held February 5th.
Discussion included topics such as societal and psychosocial barriers to sexual development of adolescents with disabilities; how to educate adolescents at different maturity levels and how organizations can use these principles to obtain measureable improvements in both the inpatient and outpatient therapy arenas. Various approaches, success stories and challenges were shared in order to learn from each other.
These sessions are exciting opportunities for clinicians from all over to participate and share ideas.
